We're Making Big Changes
(And You're Gonna Love'em!)
Founder of Social Greenery

As we prepare for our third Christmas season, we're refining and adjusting some of our processes and services while recommitting to others. The core of our business will always be sustainable, living Christmas trees, and we remain committed to providing our clients with personalized, excellent service. Our living Christmas tree program continues to be a way for families to model minimalism and sustainability for children. Our digital platform remains a convenient and modern way to get a Christmas tree, and our white glove delivery service is the most convenient holiday assist you never knew you needed. Our Grow With Me Tree Subscription service will still be active with tree seedlings coming back to your home year after year and mailing you letters in the off season.

So none of that is changing. But here's what is:

Green Tree Project is proud to have cultivated partnerships with two local nonprofits: The Tree Bank Foundation and OKC Beautiful. After Christmas we will still coordinate the pick up of your Christmas tree, but we will then be donating all full size trees to these nonprofits where they will be immediately planted around the OKC metro and the state. The Tree Bank Foundation awards trees to individuals, businesses, churches and schools based on an application process, and OKC Beautiful works with neighborhood associations to plant trees to assist with local beautification efforts. Green Tree Project is proud to donate trees toward both of these projects.

These partnerships and tree donation pipeline better aligns with our sustainability mission. Trees that come through our program will be planted immediately after Christmas, enabling us to source more trees for the next Christmas and then plant those trees too. As we grow and expand to other markets, we believe this concept of inverting the Christmas tree story (in our version, the trees start above ground and end planted in the dirt instead of starting in the dirt and ending in the landfill) will catch on and become the new normal.

Thank you for taking this journey with us. Christmas tree reservations open this year on October 1 at See you soon!
